Our new 572" BBC !!

 This will be the main upgrade to the car during this off-season !! We have some maint items to address also, ie: send trans to FTI, apply fireproof coating to the underside of Corvair body, renew some expired Certs, etc...  We plan to test in Florida sometime in February !! 😎

Stopping for Fuel !!

 We stopped on our way to Illinois to grab snacks and fuel up. Lots of onlookers with questions, when I opened the trailer to grab an Iced Tea from the cooler, didn't think we'd ever get to leave !! 😎

BackYard Bash 2023 results !!

Our Nostalgia funny car, in a row of rat rods, survivor cars, and muscle cars !! We won 3rd Place for Best in Show !! We're not really a carshow type car, but it was a  fundraiser for St Jude's children's Hospital, can't say no to that 😍

 

BackYard Bash 2023 !!

 We are booked in at Chaffee, Missouri's BackYard Bash 2023, this will be the third time we have done this !! We will cackle the funny car, enter the Carshow, and if permission is granted do a couple Dry Hops in the parking lot !! 😎

First visit to Paducah, Kentucky !!

 We loaded up the Back-Hauler (complete with brand new Air Conditioning) and headed to Beacon Dragway in Paducah Kentucky !! We were booked in with the MMDR Motorcycle group, and Dixie Doorslammers, for their Night of Fire event. Prepped our car, did our warmup, idled thru the pits, got Fans fired up, and got in line behind Dixie's, several pairs ran, track was hooking great, we were 3rd on deck, and the skies opened up... While they were drying the track, used the down time to do the Fireworks, which were quite good !! Right at the end it started to drizzle again, so we loaded up, and vowed to come back, everyone was super nice, and the track is beautiful !! 😎 

We won our 2nd event in a row !!

 We ran against TOJO Racing's 632" BBC powered Mustang, and beat her 2 in a row !! This was a 'Puddle Prep' event, so this was all new to us. I reached out to TV's Trap Queen for advice, they coached me on Skinnies Street Sauce !! Car was a real handful, and required Lots of steering input. We had a blast, and have been challenged to e re-match, which happens June 17th at Jeffers in Missouri !! 😎

We Won our Season Opener ! !

We had an absolute Blast racing at i-57 Dragstrip in Benton, Illinois !! Beautiful facility, great owners, and friendly fans. Joe Foster (green/white car) in his Honey Badger altered, and myself went at it right off the trailer, Heads Up, Pro Tree, no breakout, first to the finish wins... He left on me, but our car launched strong, and stormed to halftrack, where we both had traction issues, and in a pedalfest, I beat him w/ a 5.86 @ 116 MPH dragging the parachute !! Second race, was against my buddy Todd Atkins in his Blade Runner rear engine dragster, our car left strong, but drifted towards the wall, and I had to lift to catch it, got it back to center of track, and chased him down !! We all had fun, got great pics and video, made new friends, and the Back-Hauler did awesome on it's first road trip !! 😎

                                

First Race of the 2023 Season !!

We are booked in at i-57 Dragstrip for a best 2 out of 3 Match Race as part of Spring Thing !! Joe Foster in his 'Honey Badger' altered, Todd Atkins in his 'Blade Runner' dragster, and me in the BackMotor funny car !! Should be a good old fashioned Drag Race !! 😎

Results from the Carshow !!

Here we are, on display in the Carshow !! We had a blast, rattled a few windows, even did a TransBrake launch !! We won 'Best Burnout' with that launch, and the sound echoing thru the quiet neighborhood was amazing !! Most had never seen a car like this up close, so there were lots of questions. So we ordered some great burgers at Ferrell's Cream Castle, and answered them all, even signed a few Hero Cards !! All in all, it was a great day 😎

 

First event of 2023 !!

Our 2023 Season kicks off w/ huge Carshow !! 

We will fire up the car, perform a leak check, put a timing light on it. Then they will close Rodgers Ave, and we're doing a burnout for the Crowd !! C'mon out for a great time !! 😎

Yes it's True, our new Sponsor (name TBA) has set our Budget, and stated the Primary Goal is to get the BackMotor RE/FC to as many tracks as possible in 2024-2025 !! They want as much bang for the buck that they can get, getting their logo in front of fresh eyes all over the Country is the best way to do that. Our sport doesn't translate well on TV, you can't smell the Nitro, or feel the heat from the header flames on TV. Our fans Never forget seeing us run in person !! 😎
